Since its inaugural edition in 2011, the Annual Summer School on National Minorities has emerged as a cornerstore event hosted by the European Centre for Minority Issues in collaboration with Coppieters Foundation. This exclusive one-week program invites scholars, Ph.D., and MA students from diverse disciplines to participate in a comprehensive training course led by international experts in minority and human rights. Each year, the Summer School unfolds beneath a captivating theme, offering an enriching blend of excursions to relevant institutions and lectures by distinguished academics.
The Coppieters Foundation will support the participation of three persons forced to flee conflict zones in the 14th Annual Summer School on National Minorities in Border Regions. The expenses related to the tuition fee, travel, accommodation, and meals will be covered by the organizers.
With this support, the organizers aim to support the uninterrupted academic work of the applicants, which was affected by conflict, and integrate them into European scientific networks.
In order to be considered, applicants need to meet the following criteria:
All interested applicants should follow the regular application procedure for the Summer School and contact the organizers ( summerschool@ecmi.de) regarding the scholarship.
