Gal, Torvalds and Sebastià to co-chair inter group on minorities of the European Parliament

Kinga Gal (Member of the European Parliament  for the EPP), Nils Torvalds (Member of the European Parliament for the ALDE group) and Jordi Sebastià (Member of the European Parliament for the Greens/EFA) have been appointed co-chairs of the Inter-group on Traditional Minorities, National Communities and Languages of the European Parliament. The integroup was founded in 2009 and acts to promote awareness of national and linguistic minority issues in Europe.

The Greens/EFA, EPP and ALDE groups in the European Parliament came to an agreement on the co-chairmanships for the Intergroup on Traditional Minorities, National Communities and Languages and they supported the co-chairmanship bgiving it a vast support amog those members of the European Parliament in the Intergroup.

Jordi Sebastià will leave his seat in the European Parliament at the end of 2016 and the Intergroup will then appoint 3 new co-chairs.
