On 10th January 2014 the Centre Maurits Coppieters (CMC) signed a partnership agreement with National Movements & Intermediary Structures in Europe (NISE), a non-profit association created as a platform to facilitate comparative and transnational studies on national movements across Europe. NISE gathers data, supports archives, and maps personal and institutional contacts, relationships and joint projects between national movements and sub-central governments.
Xabier Macías, President of the Centra Maurits Coppieters, and Luc Boeva, coordinator of the NISE project signed the cooperation protocol at ADVN in Antwerp, home of the Documentary Archive Research of Flemish Nationalism, to formalise the already existing cooperation between the two organisation over the last few years on issues related to archival, historical research and the study of national movements.
With the signature of this cooperation accord, the Centre Maurits Coppieters reaches a network of research centres and archival institutions specialised in the study and conservation of social and national movements’ documents of historical value.
