Dr. Turp, to discuss on the right to self determination in the 21st century.

Daniel Turp, professor of international and constitutional law at the University of Montreal, member of the Quebec National Assembly for the Parti Québécois (2003 to 2008), is the new member of the Scientific Board of the Centre Maurits Coppieters and will be the keynote speaker at the CMC dinner-debate scheduled 12 April 2013 in Meran (South-Tirol).

During his speech, special attention will be given to (1) those nations having engaged in independence referendums and (2) applicable international law in the event of the creation of a new state.
