The European Commission has launched a twitter awareness raising campaign in the occasion of the International day of Women (8 March 2014). The goal of this campaign is to pay tribute to those women who played a role in helping shape the Europe of Today. Also to visualize their contribution to the European building process.
For their commitment to the European values of diversity, democracy, peace, freedom and human rights while developing their tasks as Members of the European Parliament, Centre Maurits Coppieters’ European women heroes are Jill Evans, Winnie Ewing, Frieda Brepoels, Ana Miranda, Tatjana Ždanoka and Nelly Maes. Our #WomenOfEurope!
