The Centre Maurits Coppieters takes part in the debate “World Conflicts from the perspective of the peoples’collective rights” within the framework of the 2011 World Social Forum in Dakar.

This edition the Forum is divided in 12 thematic axes of debate. Axis 12 for the inter-learning of alternative paradigms for the crisis of hegemonic civilization hosts a series of conferences organized by the Network for the Collective Rights of Peoples. 8 February 2011, during the 3rd day of debates in the Forum Mr. Xabier Macias (President of CMC) will introduce elements for an analysis of armored and political conflict integrating the dimension of collective rights. He will share opinions and options for peace with other researchers and activists from Europe and Africa and a Delegation headed by EFA Member of the European Parliament Mr. Oriol Junqueras.
