The Impact of the COVID Crisis on Democracy and Europe’s Stateless Nations

A series of discussions exploring the consequences of the pandemic on institutional relations at several levels: Europe, States and stateless nations

Events / Tue 06 Apr 2021 18:30

How has Europe managed the health crisis, including stocks of masks, lockdown measures and the vaccination strategy? What are the economic and social consequences and what do future prospects look like with the recovery plan? Which perspectives are there for stateless peoples and nations, especially on an institutional front?

The Coppieters Foundation and Arritti launch a series of video discussions with experts and politicians, on the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on democracy and stateless nations in Europe. Between 6 and 16 April, we will be releasing four videos on this topic.

These questions and more will be tackled in exchanges between specialists and politicians, and the Coppieters Foundation.

We look forward to inspiring conversations with:

  • Wanda Mastor, Public and Constitutional Law Professor at University Toulouse Capitole
  • Elisenda Alamany, Member of the Barcelona City Council
  • Jordi Solé, Member of the European Parliament for the European Free Alliance (EFA/ERC)
  • Attilio Pinna, Member of the Istituto Camillo Bellieni and law professor at Sassari University

These discussions will be moderated by Antonia Luciani, Coppieters Foundation Secretary-General
