On Thursday 25th of July, within the framework of Festigal, a new meeting of the cycle of conferences ‘Dialogues from the Periphery’ will take place under the title ‘Keys to halting the advance of the far right in Europe’.

The meeting will take place in the space of the Gallery of Letters and Ideas starting at 6:25 pm.

We will take this opportunity to analyse the results of the European elections and the new configuration of the European Parliament. In this scenario, the reasons responding to the rise of fascism and the extreme right will be analyzed, to this end, we will have the interventions of:

Miguel Urbán, author of ‘Trumpisms, neoliberals and authoritarians. An X-ray of the extreme right’

Pierre Imbert, representative of the external federation of the Breton Democratic Union

Ana Miranda, Member of the European Parliament of the Galician Nationalist Bloc

The event will feature an initial greeting from Xabier Macías, vice-president of the Coppieters Foundation.
