On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Maurits Coppieters we premiere an exhibition based on Political lives: a series of biographies from remarkable politicians, scholars and activists that helped shape our societies throughout the XX century.
The exhibition aims to give an overview of the many lives of Maurits Coppieters, a politician who gained recognition in the post-war Flemish movement. A teacher by training and a youth leader at heart, for most of his life Coppieters was active in Flemish national politics and was deeply involved in the social and cultural life of the Flemish community, where the recurring themes of his work were social justice and pacifism.
