The aim of the conference, organised by the Coppieters Foundation and Istituto Camillo Bellieni, with the support of Regione Autonoma della Sardegna, is to clarify the concept of identity and the ways in which this concept can be instrumentalised politically as a form of constructive energy, both to foster a conscience of places and to reaffirm Europe as a set of peculiarities that aspire to be together while recognising their differences.
The project aims to bring to the attention of the public and the media the value of territorial heritage for those communities present on the European continent, and especially for those who are stateless and pursue the recognition of their right to self-determination.
By territorial heritage, we understand not only a physical, geographical place but the intrication of knowledge, cultures, styles that constitute, organise and transform a specific territory.
Experts and specialists are called to discuss these issues during a conference to be held on Saturday 12 December at 16:00 on the Microsoft teams platform.
