In the framework of the conference Exploring the path of Federalism in the Middle East Professor Ivan Serrano delivers an speech on behalf of the Centre Maurits Coppieters. In his dissertation Professor Serrano explains the positive correlations between accommodation of national, religious and linguistic minorities and democracy drawing lessons for a further democratization of the Middle East.
