Book Presentation: Feminism on the Peripheries of Europe

An inclusive and intersectional youth approach

Events / Fri 05 Oct 2018 18:30

On 5th of October, Fundació Nexe, Tirant, Generalitat Jove, and Coppieters Foundation will host a book presentation at the University of Valencia for the recently published book “Feminism on the Peripheries of Europe”.

Feminism on the Peripheries of Europe is collection of essays written by young authors and researchers from the European Free Alliance Youth.

This book is an attempt to redraw the map, preserve histories and herstories, inspire solidarity and coalitions, spotlight moments of transgression and provide a basis for feminist cross-cultural work.

The authors of this book use a feminist lens to discuss inequality, unrecognized identities, peripheral locality and uneven power structures as factors of oppression that Europe’s minorities and minoritised nations continue to struggle against.
